When talk therapy alone isn’t enough.

Somatic, body-based psychotherapy for deeper healing that gets to the root.

Therapy for the times when…

…the world feels heavy and you’re not sure how to hold it all.

…talk therapy alone doesn’t feel like enough.

…your body is carrying what words can’t express.

…chronic stress, functional freeze, or people-pleasing patterns keep you stuck.

…you’re ready to reconnect with your body, your intuition, and your capacity to heal.

I specialize in working with people who feel stuck in their head and want a more body-based, somatic approach to healing.

You don’t need more insight—you need a different relationship with your body.

If you’re searching for trauma therapy, EMDR, or somatic therapy in Denver or in the state of Colorado, you’re in the right place.

 Meet Ali Bullano

I’m Ali — a licensed clinical social worker, somatic therapist, EMDR practitioner, and trauma-informed yoga teacher.

I work with people who feel stuck in their head —  overthinking, analyzing, trying to “figure everything out” — but still feel disconnected or overwhelmed.

A lot of the people who find me aren’t new to therapy.
You might already be self-aware. You understand your patterns. You can explain why you feel the way you do but you’re not actually feeling different.

You’re tired of talking in circles.
Tired of trying to think your way out of something that doesn’t seem to change.
And tired of surface-level tools when what you really want is something to shift.

That’s where I work differently.

I offer a space where you don’t have to perform, you can literally slip your shoes off. Where you don’t have to come in with the perfect words. Where we can slow things down enough to notice what’s actually happening beneath the thoughts.

Sometimes that looks like tracking what’s happening in your body—the tight chest, the shutdown, the subtle edge of anxiety. Sometimes it’s gently naming patterns or truths that are hard to see on your own.

My work blends somatic therapy, EMDR, parts work, and nervous system regulation—not just to help you understand yourself, but to help you actually feel and shift what’s happening internally.

Because what you’re carrying isn’t just in your thoughts, it lives in your body. And when we work there, change becomes possible.

You don’t have to have it all figured out.
You just have to show up as you are.

Over time, people often feel more grounded, more connected, and more like themselves again.

Somatic Therapy

You may notice that your body reacts before you even have words for what’s happening — a tightening in your chest, a knot in your stomach, or a feeling of being on edge for no clear reason.

Somatic therapy helps you gently listen to those signals instead of pushing past them. Together, we’ll track sensations, breath, and subtle shifts in your nervous system so your body can begin to complete what it’s been holding.

As your system unwinds, you may feel more grounded, more present, and more at home in yourself, because your body finally feels safe enough to let go.

EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy designed to help your brain and body process experiences that still feel stuck.

You might notice that certain memories still feel activating. Even if you know the event is over, your nervous system may still react as if it’s happening now.

Through EMDR, we gently work to reprocess those memories. Over time, what once felt overwhelming begins to feel less charged and more integrated, so you can remember what happened without your body going into survival mode.

Depression & Anxiety Treatment

Anxiety and depression don’t just live in your thoughts, they live in your nervous system. Maybe it feels like shallow breath, a constant sense of urgency, or a heaviness that makes it hard to get out of bed.

In our work together, you’ll learn how to notice what’s happening in your body in real time and develop tools to gently regulate your nervous system. We’ll also explore the deeper roots of these patterns, supporting healing that goes beyond managing symptoms and moves toward true resolution.
